DAY 8 – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2018

DAY 9 – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2018

• Arrive Cairo at 3:05 a.m.
• You are met by the local tour guide and transferred to Le Meredien Hotel or similar for Check-in.

• Depart via air conditioned motor coach to visit the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and over 4500 years old, and the Pyramid ship museum.
• Optional visit the tomb chamber of the Great Pyramid.
• Lunch at a local restaurant
• Afternoon shopping at the Bazaar.  Return to hotel.

DAY 10 – THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2018

• Optional tour of the Coptic Museum to see the Black Christ.

DAY 11 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER  26, 2018

• Morning visit to Sakkara and Memphis.  Lunch and rest of the day at leisure.
• Sakkara is best known for:
  • the Step Pyramid, the oldest known of Egypt’s 97 pyramids.
  • It was built for King Djoser of the 3rd Dynasty by the architect and genius Imhotep, who designed it and its surrounding complex to be as grand as it was unique and revolutionary
• Memphis is best known as:
  • Egypt’s ancient capital and administrative center until around 2,200 BC.
  • View the UNESCO-listed sculptures and ruins in its outdoor museum, and behold the star turn: a spectacularly large, fallen statue of Ramses II (Colossus of Ramses II).
