Day 1 –May 6
Depart JFK at 4:45p overnight flight via Casablanca
Day 2 – May 7Dakar, city tour

Arrive Dakar, meet and transfer to Ibis or similar. Rest of day at leisure
Day 3, May 8:
After breakfast departure from your hotel to explore the vibrant city of Dakar. We pass the Independence Square, we discover the old colonial buildings and the new African inspired architecture. We pass Kermel market with its colorful flowers, the Chamber of Commerce, the Presidential Palace, the “Corniche” with the “Anse Bernard” beach. Then, we continue to “Soweto Square to see the National Assembly, the IFAN museum known for its collection of West African Arts, drive to the Cathedral, the National theater. Next , we visit the sand painting gallery. Passing through SANDAGA market, we continue to the Great Mosque, we continue to the well-known craftsmen village of Soumedioune, where high quality goods in many mediums may be admired or purchased. Lunch at a local restaurant. Evening open ceremonies Overnight B/L
Day 4 -May 9 Goree Island
Morning explore the various Art Venues. Afternoon, visit to Goree Island which was an important slave depot and the point of departure of milions of slaves to America. A twenty-minute ferry ride takes us to the once turbulent, now tranquil Goree Island. Its carefree streets and clusters of pink houses make it a perfect foil for the camera. After lunch in a typical restaurant, we explore the island. A visit to the slave house, once a departure point for million of slaves headed for the Americas, is for many an emotional experience. A stroll up to the Castle affords us a spectacular view of Goree and beyond. We visit the Town Square and the Catholic Church before stopping at the Historical museum. Return to Dakar.. OvernightB/L
Day 5 –May 10 Pink Lake /St. Louis
After breakfast, you leave for the mysterious Pink Lake. An incredible rose-colored body of water surrounded by sands and dunes. Lunch. Visit a Fulani village, meet the inhabitant and enjoy your naming ceremony and head for Cayar, a fishing village along the Atlantic coastline. Observe the fishermen bring in their afternoon haul in their painted pirogues. Donkey drawn buggies are the form of transportation in this quaint fishing village, Overnight La ResidenceB/L
Day 6 –May 11 St Louis-Djoudj-St. Louis
After breakfast, tour of St. Louis. Explore the narrow streets flanked by houses with narrow streets remenisanct of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Continue to Djoudi, one of the largest bird sactuaries in the world. A roosting place for pelicans and other bird species. Evening return to St Louis B/L
Day 7-May 12 St Louis-Dakar
Early morning departure, enroute stop in Touba, the holy city of Senegal. Transfer to hotel and overnight
Day 8-May 13 -15:
Shuttle bus to various Art Venues, and evening soirees
Day 10. May 16
Return to JFK via Casablanca
